An SAP BTP Administrator manages and maintains the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ensuring its smooth operation, security, and performance. This involves tasks like user and access management, service configuration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration with other systems. They also play a crucial role in keeping the platform up to date with the latest innovations and ensuring it aligns with organizational security and compliance policies.
Lead the planning, setup, and ongoing administration of SAP BTP global accounts, subaccounts, and Cloud Foundry/ABAP environments.
-Manage BTP entitlements, quotas, and service subscriptions efficiently to optimize resource utilization and cost.
– Configure and monitor BTP connectivity components such as Cloud Connector, Destinations, Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
– Perform user and role management to maintain secure and compliant access controls.
– Enable and configure SAP BTP services including Integration Suite, Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), Workflow, and cloud Foundry runtime.
– Manage transport and deployment processes across various BTP subaccounts and environments.
– Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure optimal system availability and performance.
– Collaborate with SAP development teams and business stakeholders to support and optimize BTP applications.
– Ensure compliance with security policies, data privacy standards, and SAP best practices.
– Monitor platform health with tools like SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP BTP Cockpit.
– Stay updated with SAP BTP enhancements and incorporate them into the environment proactively.
